    2 month check up

Here's our not-so-little-anymore girl. She did great at her appointment today and is VERY healthy. She is a full pound bigger and inch longer than Mara was at this age and is off the growth charts. She is a very good sleeper and full of smiles.

    Looking back

After playing in the mirror today we watched this video over and over as Mara requested "More" each time it finished and Audra was smiling probably at the sound of my voice. It is uncanny how much the girls look a like.

    Bath fun

We swear by my mom's bathing method of just in the regular old tub from infancy and both girls have almost always loved their bathes and showers. Audra has been so smilely in there lately that I finally took up a camera (with charged batteries oy!) and of course big sis wanted pictures of her "swimming" too.

She always has plenty of toys courtesy of Mara (whether she is in the tub too or not) and it was funny to watch her try to focus on the duck so close.

    Imitating Much?

    Tuesday morning comics

    Happy 2 month birthday Audra!

Now for this mornings comics courtesy of my 2 cute kiddos.

Mara was putting her baby to bed just like Audra this morning except it looked like a pile of blanket covered with a burp cloth.

Lest you think Mara only imitates me, this morning she was also preparing to "go to work". Daddy recently took a stack of books into his office so Mara has piled up 5 or so books by the door (where Daddy's pile was) and told me she had the books because she was "going to work".

Not to be out done, Audra has reached the stage where she is captivated by the ceiling fan. After a fussy last day and a half (stuffy nose related I think), she laid on the bed alternately staring, smiling and cooing and nothing more than the fan. It was precious.

    I'm a big girl now

You all remember the jingle and yes it gets stuck in my head everytime she says it, but luckily there are no pull-ups around our house. This is just Mara learning she can do things Audra can't, yet she is also little in some senses and still growing.
